The physics concentration allows students to understand the world around them in terms of force, mechanics, and energy. Students participate in labs and lectures to learn more about the behaviour of matter and its motion through space and time. This concentration allows students to appreciate the dynamics of objects ranging from very small atomic interactions using quantum mechanics to the motions of the entire universe using general relativity. Concentrating in physics allows students to broaden their interests and delve further into subjects such as astronomy, magnetism, biophysics, and theoretical physics.
